DiSC Cymru
Bilingual brand identity and accessible website design for social care
The brief was to create a fresh, vibrant and accessible identity that would make the programme easy to understand and engage with across a wide range of audiences. Whilst the subject is digital, the focus of the programme is firmly human. The identity needed to reflect this – balancing clarity and structure with a more approachable and engaging visual style.
We developed a visual identity built around clarity, vibrancy and accessibility. A key focus was translating the graphic representation of the framework structure and fully integrating it into the brand system, so it could be used consistently across communications. This provided a way to represent the different pillars, initiatives and relationships within the DiSC Cymru programme in a clear and consistent way.
The logo reinforces the people-centred nature of the framework. The ‘i’ in DiSC is customised to stand apart from the surrounding characters, representing the individual at the centre of everything the programme does. This subtle but meaningful detail reflects the core intent of DiSC Cymru: that all activity, tools and planning ultimately exist to improve people’s lives.
A wider system of graphic shapes extends this idea, designed to be used as patterns or integrated into imagery. These elements help visually express the connection between the framework’s pillars, initiatives and the communities they serve.
Together, the visual language creates a structured and collaborative identity that remains approachable and human in tone – supporting a digital future that is practical, accessible and designed to evolve as the programme and its partners grow.
