The Beginning - 1985
Our story starts with Bob Martin and his business partner, who founded the agency with a passion for creative design and a drive to help brands succeed. Their partnership laid the foundation for a name that would become trusted in the Cardiff creative community: Martin Hopkins
The Evolution
Bob Martin continued to grow the agency on his own, taking on new challenges and expanding the team. Martin Hopkins’ reputation for exceptional design continued to flourish, while staying grounded in the personal, approachable ethos that has always defined us.
The Next Generation
James joined the agency, bringing fresh ideas and energy while learning from the legacy his father had built. As the business grew, so did the agency’s capabilities - expanding beyond design into broader brand, digital and strategic services.

We continue to build on that legacy with the appointment of Sarah as fellow director. Bringing a wealth of experience and a shared passion for purposeful design, Sarah strengthens our offering and adds a fresh perspective to the agency’s future. It’s a natural next step in our story, one that ensures Martin Hopkins continues to evolve, collaborate, and deliver meaningful creative work for years to come.
