Peter Broughton, one of Wales’ largest independent fresh produce suppliers, approached us to increase the strength of their brand to help them maximise their sales and elevate their profile. This was a wide-ranging project to initially redesign the branding logo for Peter Broughton which was dated and in need of a creative overhaul. This was then followed through by a fresh website design, various promotional items and complete overhaul of the company’s van signage.

Really strong, iconic photographic images were utilised throughout the development of corporate material and primarily for use in large format on the vans and trucks. This was used in conjunction with the new, more modern logo, a clean legible brand that utilises the blue and yellow colour scheme of the previous brand. Combined with a clean, reader-friendly type font and areas of white space to create a fresher overall branding.
Eye catching design
The result was eye catching; the vehicle livery in particular with its stunning fruit or veg images has a particularly strong presence in the market place and promotes the business in a highly visible way. The client has had great feedback and been featured in a number of Trade magazines as a result of the new branding. We’ve been working closely with the guys at Peter Broughton for nearly 9 years now, over which time the business has gone from strength to strength and now brushes shoulders with some of the leading brands. Peter Broughton has expanded into the fresh flower market, which we have created the ‘sister’ brand for, Peter Broughton Flowers.
From turnips to tulips
Because the original brand is such an iconic and versatile one, the adaptation for the flowers market was accomplished smoothly with the introduction of a revised colour scheme utilising bright floral colours and a slight modification to the company name and typeface used. As with the main company brand we were able to once again utilise strong, iconic imagery which sits well within the website and is complimented by the additional, flowery font utilised in the brand.
