Tourism brochure design
The requirement was for a series of publications for The Vale of Glamorgan which would be freely available to the public and listed information on all aspects of places to visit and things to do in specific towns around the Vale. These were to be compact but eye catching when displayed alongside competitors literature.
Broadsheet brochure design
The client did not want a ‘booklet’ format as they felt this would limit the size of any map reproduction. The broadsheet, A2 when flat, folded down to a final size of third A4, suitable for pockets and/or bags. With so much information to be included, it was vital that the broadsheet read in a logical and easy manner.
The maps take up the majority of the space on one side of the sheet, with keys and information about facilities and places of interest. General information took the form of an introduction section which is the first thing you see when you open the publication. Various sections are split or highlighted by use of colour blocks. The type is clean and simple and each publication is colour coded in line with corporate guidelines for Coast, Country etc. Towns included in the series were Penarth, Llantwit Major, Barry Island and Cowbridge.
Printed marketing material for tourism & travel
The promotional material is very striking and legible and easily distinguished from its competitors. They have generated a lot of interest in the Vale and have been very well received with the result that a reprint of the full quantity was required within a month of the publications first hitting the shelves, with regular reprints since.
Delighted with the end results
“I have worked with Martin Hopkins Partnership for over seventeen years during which time they have designed and produced for me a wide range of projects including logos, brochures, leaflets, interpretation panels, exhibition stands etc. I have always been delighted with the service, excellent customer care and above all the end results.
They are a very professional company whose staff provide friendly advice and expertise and who liaise throughout the project to ensure that clients are completely satisfied. I very much like the way in which they ensure that they fully understand the client’s brief and take into account their opinions, this I believe really sets them apart from other agencies.
They are accurate, thorough and have always produced very high quality work whilst adhering to very tight timescales. I have total confidence that when I ask them to undertake a project it is done with the utmost attention to detail and is always delivered on time.
Martin Hopkins Partnership are well respected within the tourism industry and that they have built firm relationships with Visit Wales and other local authorities throughout Wales. I have no hesitation in recommending them.”
